Vietjet and Rolls-Royce signed a contract to provide Trent 7000 engines and technical services for the new A330neo wide-body aircraft fleet

(London, UK, July 23rd, 2024)-On the second day of Farnborough International Air Show 2024, shortly after signing the order for A330neo, Vietjet and Rolls-Royce, a leading British aerospace and engineering group, just signed an agreement to provide 40 Trent 7000 engines and TotalCare engine engineering services for 20 new Airbus A330neo aircraft.

Trent 7000 is a modern new engine developed by Rolls-Royce with the goals of environmental protection and sustainable development. Vietjet has chosen to use the Trent 7000 engine on its A330neo fleet, which can save more than 14% of fuel consumption per seat, helping reduce emissions significantly. The airline will avoid emitting more than one hundred thousand tons of CO2 into the environment over the life of each aircraft.

TotalCare is a leading premium engine service, with a database provided through Rolls-Royce's advanced monitoring system, helping give the airline availability, reliability, and operations stable, continuous, and highly efficient. The new agreement will also include TotalCare service on the Trent 700 engines of the A330ceo fleet that the airline is operating.

Mr. Rob Watson, General Director of Rolls-Royce Civil Aviation, said: “We are delighted to execute this engine services contract with Vietjet Air as the airline expands its operations sustainably and responsibly. responsibilities in the coming years. We look forward to supporting Vietjet's fleet using Trent 7000 engines for a long time with the TotalCare service package.”

In particular, Rolls-Royce's advanced, fuel-efficient engine line is part of Vietjet's sustainable development strategy with ESG goals, reducing net emissions to zero (Net-Zero) by 2050."

Trent 7000 is developed based on the technology and experience of the most advanced engine line in the world. As the newest member of the Trent family, the Trent 7000 features Trent XWB technology and outstanding reliability since its introduction.

Rolls-Royce is a leading British engineering group, developing and supplying engine solutions for safety-critical applications in the air, at sea, and on land. The group is currently investing more than £1 billion in a program of further improvements to the Trent engine range. In particular, the newly added engine durability service package helps double engine operating time and improve performance by up to 30%.
