VIETJET COLLABORATES WITH F AIR FLIGHT SCHOOL TO TRAIN PILOTS IN EUROPE
(Prague, Czech Republic, January 20, 2025) – Vietjet and F AIR Flight School (Czech Republic) signed a cooperation agreement today in the presence of the Prime Minister of Vietnam -Pham Minh Chinh, and the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic - Petr Fiala.
Specifically, F AIR will provide basic flight training for pilots under the Multi-Crew Pilot License (MPL) program of the Vietjet Aviation Academy (VJAA) in the Czech Republic, in compliance with European EASA standards. This collaboration aims to meet the demand for highly skilled pilots tailored to the aviation sector in Vietnam and in the region.
Mr. Tran Huu Quoc, Director of VJAA, stated: “This partnership with a leading flight training facility in Europe enables Vietjet to ensure a steady supply of internationally qualified aviation personnel. It also marks a strategic milestone in Vietjet’s global connectivity journey, supporting the airline’s robust and sustainable growth, as well as the future of the aviation industry.”
Vietnam and the Czech Republic have established cooperation in various fields, including education and training, particularly in aviation workforce development. The collaboration with F AIR further contributes to the achievements of bilateral cooperation and expands partnerships with European entities for pilot training. Vietjet is currently expanding its modern fleet with aircraft from major global manufacturers while growing its flight network in the Asia-Pacific region and exploring potential markets in Europe and the Americas.
Human resources remain a central focus in all Vietjet’s development plans and in the aviation sector. VJAA - Regional Training Partner of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in Vietnam, has hosted multiple pilot recruitment initiatives to realize the dreams of aspiring aviators, support the aviation industry’s long-term growth, and provide passengers with safe, cost-effective flights. Annually, VJAA trains and supplies over 200 pilots, including new pilots and those undergoing type rating training.
