On June 9th, Lilama 2 International Technology College (also known as Lilama 2 College), located in Long Thanh district, Dong Nai province, and Vietjet Aviation Academy (VJAA) signed a collaboration agreement to train aviation personnel serving Long Thanh Airport.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung and the delegates witnessed the leaders of Lilama 2 International Technology College and Vietjet Aviation Academy signing the cooperation agreement.

According to the signed agreement, both parties will collaborate in training various aviation professions, including aircraft maintenance and repair personnel, aircraft and equipment technicians; flight operations and dispatch personnel; air traffic control and operation of aviation equipment and vehicles in restricted areas of airports; and ground handling staff serving flights.
Mr. Nguyen Khanh Cuong, the Principal of Lilama 2 College, stated that once operational, Long Thanh Airport will require over 12,000 workers in various departments, and the availability of skilled aviation personnel is a matter of significant concern.

Following the collaboration agreement, both parties will develop and adjust training programs to align with the specific requirements and make the most of the machinery and equipment available at Lilama 2 College. Enrollment for the mentioned aviation professions will begin this year, with the duration of each course (depending on the profession) ranging from 3 months to 3 years.

According to Mr. Nguyen Khanh Cuong, Lilama 2 College currently has many students who are children of families living in the Long Thanh Airport Project area. In the future, the college will enhance collaboration with relevant authorities to establish support mechanisms for individuals from affected families to pursue aviation-related professions as part of the aviation field. Additionally, they will establish connections and engage in discussions with related entities to ensure employment opportunities for the students.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Son Hung, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai Province, expressed confidence in the successful collaboration between Lilama 2 College and Vietjet Aviation Academy, which will provide high-quality human resources training. Thousands of people in the Long Thanh Airport region have been affected by land clearance for the project, and the authorities and local community have always been concerned and committed to creating stable job opportunities for the residents.

The Principal of LILAMA2 College, Mr. Nguyen Khanh Cuong, received a souvenir gift from the Director of Vietjet Aviation Academy, Mr. Tran Huu Quoc.

Mr. Tran Huu Quoc - Director of Vietjet Aviation Academy stated, "Understanding the concerns of the leadership of Dong Nai Province in developing local resources to serve the upcoming phase 1 operation of Long Thanh Airport starting in 2025, Vietjet Aviation Academy and Lilama 2 College of Technology have proactively collaborated to develop feasible plans for joint training programs that can be implemented in the near future. These programs will focus on training and certification in specific aviation fields, particularly aviation technical skills, ground handling operations, and dispatching. By implementing these plans in a timely manner, we believe it will create numerous quality employment opportunities for the local workforce and help address the resource needs of the future Long Thanh International Airport project.

We hope that the close cooperation between Vietjet Aviation Academy and Lilama 2 College of Technology will receive support from the authorities and enthusiastic assistance from the Dong Nai provincial government. We commit to aligning our efforts, working together, and overcoming challenges to fulfill our assigned tasks to the best of our abilities.

On behalf of the faculty and staff of Vietjet Aviation Academy, I promise to exert maximum effort and high dedication to ensure the quality and timely implementation of the training plans as committed.
